A live Webcast was organized on August 25 on the topic High Performance in Computing. The speaker for the occasion was Achindra Bhatnagar, who works with Microsoft. The Webinar began with a brief introduction about the speaker and we were told about his job profile.
The speaker, then through the means of a presentation, enlightened us on the topic for the evening. Starting with the very basics about high performance computing, like it uses supercomputers and computer clusters to solve computational problems,the speaker threw some light on the applications of High Performance computing. The Webinar session lasted for around 75 minutes, and was a highly informative monologue.
